Sixth-generation vintner Katie Bundschu's own Glen Ellen project — Rhône-inspired, co-fermented field blends from regenerative-organic vines, poured among 80-year-old plantings. The experience runs to olive-grove grazing boards, shuffleboard, and a thoughtfully stocked mercantile of often female-made goods. Playful, communal, and reservations encouraged.

Abbot's Passage is the solo project of Katie Bundschu — the first woman vintner in six generations of the Bundschu family — who launched the label in 2013 and settled it in 2020 on a historic Glen Ellen property among 80-year-old vines. The winery and mercantile lean playful and communal, a deliberate turn off the beaten path.
The wines are Rhône-inspired, co-fermented field blends, many from old Zinfandel vines grafted over to Mourvèdre, Carignan, and Petite Sirah and farmed regenerative-organic. A visit is a day out: seasonal grazing boards in the olive grove, shuffleboard among the vines, and a mercantile of curated, often female-made goods. Reservations encouraged.
