Founded in 2012 by Texas-raised Erin Brooks, Ernest makes cool-climate, single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the far West Sonoma Coast, low-intervention and bright. Its chic Healdsburg lounge, steps from the Plaza, pours current and library flights, plus the exploratory Edaphos label.

Ernest Vineyards was founded in 2012 by Erin Brooks, a Texas farm kid turned vintner, drawn to the windswept far reaches of the West Sonoma Coast and the pioneers farming it. Winemaker Joseph Ryan joined in 2018, and the chic Healdsburg tasting lounge — steps from the Plaza — became the place to taste the results.
The wines are cool-climate, single-vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, low-intervention and bright with natural acidity, from 35 organic, regenerative acres in Freestone. A second label, Edaphos, chases lesser-known varietals and alternative techniques across Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lodi. Settle into the lounge for flights of current and library releases.
