Appellation Healdsburg is the newest luxury hotel in Sonoma County, opened fall 2025. Created by Chef Charlie Palmer and hotelier Christopher Hunsberger, this culinary-forward property is connected to Montage Healdsburg via a short trail and centers its experience around Sonoma's rich food and wine heritage.

The Camellia Inn occupies an 1869 Italianate Victorian mansion two blocks from Healdsburg Plaza, named for the fifty-plus camellia varieties on its grounds. A family-owned, nine-room bed and breakfast since the 1980s, each room pairs period detail — ornate mantels, claw-foot tubs, antiques — with modern comforts. Daily breakfast, an evening wine-and-cheese reception, and a garden pool round out the stay.

Duchamp Healdsburg is a 20-suite boutique hotel reopened in 2025 by Sonoma County locals Mark and Marie Luzaich. Each residential-style suite is a freestanding refuge with private patio and air-quality system, arranged around a 50-foot azure pool and olive grove garden — just steps from the Plaza.

H2 Hotel is a LEED-certified property a block from Healdsburg Plaza, conceived as an exercise in sustainable hospitality with rooftop solar, rainwater capture, and a living roof. Its 36 minimalist rooms each have a private balcony or patio. The on-site Spoonbar serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, and a solar-heated creekside pool runs along the building. Harmon Guest House is a 39-room contemporary boutique hotel just off Healdsburg Plaza, named after the town's pioneering founder Harmon Heald. Sister property to Hotel Healdsburg and H2 Hotel under the Piazza Hospitality umbrella, with a popular rooftop bar and panoramic views of Fitch Mountain.

The Healdsburg Inn on the Plaza occupies a restored 1901 building with a rare direct Plaza address. A Four Sisters property, its twelve rooms pair gas fireplaces, soaking tubs, and period detail — high ceilings, original moldings — with modern comfort. The Four Sisters tradition brings daily breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening wine reception, with tasting rooms and restaurants steps away.

Hotel Healdsburg has anchored the western edge of the town plaza since 2001, its restrained, gallery-like architecture a modernist counterpoint to Healdsburg's Victorians. Liora Estate is the newly reimagined 16-room boutique hotel on Healdsburg's North Street — formerly 27 North and, before that, the original Hotel Les Mars. Reopened in April 2026 as a European-inspired retreat by Foley Entertainment Group, with the new Maréla coastal European wine bistro and a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Lifestyle Collection.

Mill Creek is a wellness-minded modern cottage on Mill Creek Road outside Healdsburg, a running creek below its patio and central to the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander Valley. The rooms — 14-foot ceilings, soaking tubs, heated floors — have earned three Michelin Keys alongside the restaurant's three stars and Relais & Châteaux membership. Stays include exclusive breakfast and the eleven-course tasting from the Dry Creek Valley farm.

The Madrona occupies an 1881 Aesthetic Movement mansion on eight acres west of Healdsburg, reimagined in 2022 by designer Jay Jeffers with antiques set against contemporary art. Rooms span the mansion, carriage house, and garden bungalows, and it holds two Michelin Keys. The on-site restaurant draws from a regenerative garden and orchard, with a flower-framed pool and a lauded concierge.

The Raford Inn is an 1880 Queen Anne Victorian turned six-room bed and breakfast, off Wohler Road in the Russian River Valley near Healdsburg. Its rural scale feels closer to a private country estate, with period antiques and vineyard views from some rooms. A gourmet breakfast, an evening wine reception, and a wrap-around porch overlooking the vines anchor the stay.
