Sundays in the Plaza is Healdsburg's summer afternoon concert series: two free hours of live music, 1 to 3pm, in the shade of the downtown Plaza from June into August. Each week a different local band or performer takes the stage, separate from the town's Tuesday evening concerts.
The bill changes from week to week: flamenco and Latin guitar one Sunday, country and Americana or a jazz and groove set the next.

This is the gentle version of a Healdsburg summer day. The heat of the afternoon, the shade of the Plaza trees, a picnic on the grass and a band playing for whoever wanders by: it is the reset between a morning outing and an evening dinner.
Pick up lunch on the way in, find a patch of shade, and give the afternoon over to the town square. The shops and tasting rooms around the Plaza are there when the last song ends.
The City of Healdsburg presents free summer concerts on the downtown Plaza, on Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings.
Visit organizer site →Healdsburg grew up around its Plaza. In 1857 Harmon Heald, who had settled in the valley a few years earlier, laid out a town on his land and set aside the square at its center as a public park, with lots nearby reserved for churches.
He meant it as a wholesome gathering place for the whole community, and so it has stayed. Generations later, Travel + Leisure named it one of America's most beautiful town squares.
