Santa Rosa Original Certified Market

The Santa Rosa Original Certified Farmers Market is the largest farmers' market in Sonoma County. It sets up in the lot of the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts on Mark West Springs Road: Saturdays all year and Wednesdays from March to December, 8:30am to 1pm on both days. Local produce, pasture-raised meats, locally caught fish, goat and cow cheeses, garden starts, flowers and specialty foods fill the rows.

Go on a Saturday, when the market is at full size, and give yourself time. The rows reward browsing, with long-standing farm stalls beside newer growers and food makers, and coffee and hot food for a breakfast taken on the way round. It is the market where much of the county's farming history is still selling vegetables.

For visitors based in Santa Rosa or on the Mark West side of town, it is an easy first stop before a day heading north into the Russian River and Alexander valleys.
