Sonoma's Tuesday Night Market

Sonoma's Tuesday Night Market sets up on the Plaza every Tuesday evening from May into September, 5 to 8pm, on the Horseshoe in front of City Hall. Small local farms bring produce and fruit, food vendors cook everything from oysters to Thai, artisans sell their work, and live music plays through the evening.

The City of Sonoma runs it with the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the season is a fixture of summer in the valley.

This is the Plaza at its most local. Tuesday is when Sonoma comes out to shop, eat, catch up and dance, and a visitor slips right into it: blanket on the grass, dinner from the stalls, a band playing in front of the old City Hall.

Bring a blanket, buy dinner from one stall and dessert from another, and stay for the last set as the evening cools over the old adobes.
