On summer Thursdays, the Windsor Town Green becomes the town's backyard. The certified farmers market and food vendors open at 5pm, and a live band takes the stage for the evening concert, with families spreading out across the lawn until 8.
The Town of Windsor and the Windsor Farmers Market run the series together, and the season runs into late August. Bring a blanket or a low chair, and assemble dinner from the market stalls on the spot.

It is the easiest kind of summer evening: no tickets to juggle, no dress code, just a lawn, a band and a town that turns out in force. The bands are booked for a whole town, the kind of music that gets people off their blankets.
Shop the market for a picnic, claim a patch of grass, and let the evening stretch out as the light goes gold over the Green.
The Town of Windsor presents Summer Nights on the Green with the Windsor Farmers Market on the Windsor Town Green.
Visit organizer site →Free summer concerts have played on the Windsor Town Green since the park's earliest seasons. By June 2002 a summer Thursday on the Green already paired the farmers market with live music into the evening.
The Green was made for nights like these. Windsor incorporated in 1992, and the new town set out to build a true center: a walkable downtown of shops, homes and public buildings with a town green at its heart. The park became the civic core of that downtown and the place where the whole town gathers.
