Santa Rosa's municipal parkland course at the base of Bennett Peak.

Visit WebsiteA relaxed weekday eighteen on the city's home course — wide oak-framed fairways, fast greens, the Iron and Vine for a drink after. The everyday Sonoma County round locals return to.
Bennett Valley Golf Course is the municipal course of Santa Rosa — a 150-acre, eighteen-hole parkland layout at the base of Bennett Peak, owned by the City of Santa Rosa and operated by Touchstone Golf. Designed by Ben Harmon and opened in 1970, the course is the most accessible serious round in Sonoma County: wide fairways framed by mature oaks and redwoods, fast true greens, and the friendly municipal pace that draws a loyal local following. A 2005 clubhouse renovation and steady investment have kept the facility in good standing.
The course plays par 72 over roughly 6,545 yards, rating 71, slope around 118 to 121 — a layout that rewards course management without punishing the recreational golfer. Several greens are tiered and well-protected by sand, so knowing the pin placement matters. The facility carries a full driving range with practice tees, a chipping and putting area, and the Iron and Vine Restaurant and Bar for the round's close. Green fees stay genuinely affordable, with resident rates for Santa Rosa and Sonoma County players. Bennett Valley is the everyday course — the one locals walk on a weekday afternoon and visitors book when they want a relaxed, well-kept eighteen at a fair price.
