Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport is the wine country airport. It sits on the Santa Rosa Plain among the vineyards of the Russian River Valley, about 15 minutes from Healdsburg. It is named for the creator of Peanuts, who lived and drew in Santa Rosa.

Fly here when you can: you skip the Bay Area traffic and land a short drive from the tasting rooms. Nonstops are fewer than at the big hubs, so a one-stop connection through Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City or Los Angeles is often the way in.
