where geyserville eats
dine in geyserville
Dine in Geyserville, one short main street in Alexander Valley, with Cabernet Sauvignon on the valley floor and old Zinfandel on the benches around it. These are the tables the town keeps for itself, chosen by the people who live and work here.
Douglas Keane's tasting menu moves guests through rooms in a Geyserville building of concrete and glass: Champagne and caviar in the Bubbles Lounge, small bites at the Kitchen Table, composed courses above the vineyards, a finale in the Chocolate Room. Around twenty courses carry Kyoto-trained precision; the cellar leans half Sonoma County. One Michelin star; book through Tock.

Dino Bugica learned butchery and cucina povera over a decade in Italy, and his Geyserville Avenue room shows both: house salumi and lardo, cured olives, Neapolitan-style pies from the wood oven, linguine with baby octopus, bone marrow and bottarga. Vintage film posters line the walls. Open daily; tables go fast, and only large weekday groups can reserve.

Lunch at the Francis Ford Coppola Winery, on a terrace above the Alexander Valley vines or in the dining room. The menu gathers the filmmaker's favorite Italian and international dishes, many served family style, with Neapolitan-style pizzas and produce from the estate's organic garden. Coppola wines pour by the glass, and the full bar mixes cocktails.
