dine in guerneville
Dine in Guerneville, a river town under the redwoods on the Russian River, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the benches above. These are the tables the town keeps for itself, chosen by the people who live and work here.
In the old railroad village of Duncans Mills, four miles from the ocean, this Russian River tavern pairs a seafood-minded kitchen with a bar where the village still gathers. Order the sesame-crusted ahi, crab cakes, clam chowder or cod fish 'n chips; Sunday afternoons bring live music to the garden patio. Kitchen closed Mondays.

Crista Luedtke's Main Street dining room in Guerneville cooks modern California bistro food from the garden, organic produce, artisan cheeses and Sonoma County meats. Flash-fried Brussels sprouts, the Boon mac-n-cheese and polenta lasagna share the menu with braised pork shoulder and roasted chicken. No reservations, groups up to six; dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m.

Stumptown Brewery is a Russian River roadhouse and brewpub in Guerneville, with an expansive deck above the river. The menu is genuine roadhouse (burgers, barbecue, fried chicken, smoked tri-tip, and pulled pork), while the bar pours house-brewed beers and Sonoma County guest taps. Live music plays the deck in warmer months, a longstanding summer fixture.

Rosy Ortega cooks Salvadoran, Carlos Mendez cooks Mexican, and both cook American at Three Cultures Kitchen, open since fall 2025 on Guerneville's Main Street. Handmade pupusas, chiles rellenos, al pastor-style ribs with grilled pineapple, mole, a chipotle Caesar and burgers share one menu, and tacos run until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.
