Camellia Inn

The Camellia Inn occupies an 1869 Italianate Victorian mansion two blocks from Healdsburg Plaza, named for the more than 50 varieties of camellias that bloom on the property's grounds. The historic building has been thoughtfully maintained as a nine-room bed and breakfast since the 1980s, with each guest room individually styled to reflect period architectural detail (ornate mantels, hand-stenciled ceilings, claw-foot tubs, antique furnishings collected over decades) alongside contemporary comforts like climate control, fine linens, and en-suite baths.

Daily rituals anchor the experience: a full breakfast prepared with locally sourced ingredients each morning, an evening wine reception with cheese in the parlor, and freshly baked cookies left out throughout the day. The garden pool surrounded by mature plantings is a quiet spot to retreat after a day of wine tasting. The Inn is family-owned and operated, and the personal hospitality (including knowledgeable recommendations for wineries, restaurants, and local discoveries) distinguishes it from larger commercial operations.
