Duchamp Healdsburg reopened in 2025 as Mark and Marie Luzaich's reimagining of the longtime boutique property at 421 Foss Street, expanded to 20 residential-style suites and recast as a serious alternative to the standardized Wine Country hotel template. Both Luzaichs grew up in Sonoma County and live locally, and the property reflects their bet that travelers want fewer guests and deeper local access over a larger room count. Each suite is a freestanding unit with its own air quality system, private patio, in-room wine fridge, and the kind of curated material palette that pairs organic textures with elevated comfort. The property centers on a 50-foot azure pool surrounded by luxury chaise lounges, oversized umbrellas, and an olive grove garden, with cabanas, lounge seating, and an outdoor living room with fire pit threaded throughout. There is no on-site restaurant; guests are encouraged to walk to the Plaza for dining, then return to the privacy of their suite.
