Shelley Post is the founder behind Four Sisters Inns, the family company her parents Roger and Sally launched in 1975 from a Pacific Grove Victorian — and the namesake (along with her three sisters) of the brand. Inn at Sonoma is part of the collection she built over four decades into an 18-property California portfolio. After stepping back from day-to-day operations in 2018, she remains the family's senior consultant and the brand's institutional memory.

Brian Whitmer joined Four Sisters Inns as General Manager of the Inn at Sonoma and the nearby Sonoma Creek Inn, bringing more than two decades of hotel and food-and-beverage leadership across Northern California. He oversees both small-property operations from the Inn's perch two blocks off Sonoma Plaza.
