Among vineyards and a chef's garden on River Road, the inn's dining room now serves a relaxed à la carte menu from executive chef Julio Aguilera, who arrived for 2026. Mediterranean and coastal flavors meet local ingredients: burrata, diver scallops, charred octopus, baby donuts with chicken liver mousse. The wine list leans on Russian River Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Wine Focus
Russian River Valley focus with deep Pinot Noir and Chardonnay representation; multiple-generation winery family relationships.

The Restaurant at Farmhouse Inn is the inn's own dining room, on a historic six-acre property on River Road in Forestville, among Russian River Valley vineyards and the inn's chef's garden. Siblings Catherine and Joe Bartolomei, from a family that has farmed the valley for five generations, have owned the inn since 2001, and they built the restaurant into a Michelin-starred room with chef Steve Litke in the kitchen. In September 2023 Foley Entertainment Group bought a majority stake, with the Bartolomeis keeping a share, and the restaurant has since changed direction toward a relaxed but still polished à la carte menu. Executive chef Julio Aguilera, formerly of Copas in San Francisco and Morrofino in Miami, took over the kitchen for the 2026 season.

Menu Highlights
Burrata
Burrata di Puglia, balsamic, pesto, pistachio
Caesar Salad
Chalk Hill Farm little gems, herbed bread tuile
Grilled Broccolini
basil emulsion, prosciutto, Meyer lemon
Scallop
diver scallops, chicken jus, buttermilk
Donuts
baby donuts, maple cinnamon sugar, chicken liver mousse
Octopus
charred octopus, tarragon, spinach, passion fruit

Aguilera's menus pair wild and farmed local ingredients with classical technique and the flavors of the Mediterranean and the coast. Expect entrées such as chicken, steak, Ora King salmon and a capellacci pasta, with desserts like citrus and cream or chocolate and passionfruit. The dining room is warm and unhurried, with a fireplace and the gardens just outside, and the wine list leans on the Russian River Valley, especially Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, drawing on the Bartolomeis' long ties to the valley's winemaking families. The inn reopens each year for its season, so check the current dinner schedule before you go. Arrive a little early to walk the garden paths, and book ahead for weekend evenings.
