Tufted leather banquettes and low, clubby light set this Healdsburg Plaza steakhouse apart from the town's spare wine-country rooms. Prime and Wagyu beef leads, from a 16-ounce ribeye to a barrel-cut filet, with a tableside Caesar cart, Dungeness crab cakes and ahi tartare. The upstairs bar holds more than 80 whiskeys. Dinner Tuesday through Saturday; Prime Rib Thursdays.

Goodnight's Prime Steak + Spirits is a western-styled steakhouse on Plaza Street in Healdsburg, opened in August 2023 by Foley Entertainment Group, the hospitality company of wine entrepreneur Bill Foley. San Francisco chef David Lawrence, known for Fillmore 1300 and Black Bark BBQ, led the kitchen at opening. The room trades the town's wine-country minimalism for dark, clubby warmth, with high-backed tufted leather banquettes that make each table feel private. Much of the produce comes from Chalk Hill Estate, a Foley property. Service is the signature: guests describe being made to feel the evening is entirely theirs, and in only three years that has made the room a favorite for anniversaries and birthdays in a town full of them.

David Lawrence led the opening of Goodnight's Prime Steak + Spirits on the Healdsburg Plaza in August 2023 and wrote its menu. He began cooking in a London steakhouse, worked in the Roux brothers' kitchens, was chef de cuisine at 231 Ellsworth and The Carnelian Room, and later owned 1300 on Fillmore and Black Bark BBQ in San Francisco.
