Montage Healdsburg's signature restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, Saturday brunch and dinner, so it suits a late-morning table after a walk in the vineyards as easily as a long evening. The cooking is seasonal California with a French accent, and the setting is the draw: a hillside dining room and terrace above the resort's own vines.

Hazel Hill is the signature restaurant of Montage Healdsburg, the resort spread over 258 acres in the hills north of town. Its kitchen cooks French-inspired food from locally sourced, seasonal California produce, with the polish of a resort dining room and the ease of a brasserie. The kitchen is open to the room, an expo line where diners can watch the plates come together, and it is led by executive chef Sergio Howland, who took charge of the resort's kitchens in August 2026. The menu, by the restaurant's own note, can change from day to day with what arrives from local farms and what the team is inspired to cook.

Sergio Howland is executive chef of Montage Healdsburg, named in August 2026, and leads the kitchen at Hazel Hill, the resort's signature restaurant. A native of Mexico City, he began with an apprenticeship at the Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City, graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, and held leadership roles with The Ritz-Carlton, Auberge Resorts and Timbers Resorts before running the kitchens at Vintners Resort in Santa Rosa. He has cooked at the James Beard House and competed on Top Chef México.
