Photographs and memorabilia of Jack London and old Glen Ellen cover the walls of this roadhouse saloon, where locals and travelers share an antique oak bar. The kitchen sends out unfussy wine country comfort food at lunch and dinner until 9, and a garden patio sits beside the creek. The bar stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Saloon at the Jack London Lodge is a roadhouse bar and restaurant on Arnold Drive in Glen Ellen, a short drive from Jack London State Historic Park. It is named for the writer Jack London, who lived and wrote in the hills above the village, and its walls are hung with photographs and memorabilia of his life and of Glen Ellen's past. Visit Sonoma describes it as a vintage landmark with turn-of-the-century history, and the antique oak bar and old interiors carry that age easily. Linda Richards ran the lodge and saloon for many years before handing it to its new owner, Mehul Patel, and the place has long been a fixture of Sonoma Valley life, where locals and travelers end up side by side at the bar.
