Sonoma Cheese Factory serves as both a gathering place and a gateway into the Sonoma wine region — an approachable, one-stop destination to experience the flavors of the area in a single setting. Cheese, wine, and casual dining come together in a way that feels natural and unforced, offering an immediate sense of place. At its core, the experience is grounded in craftsmanship and curation. A thoughtful selection of artisanal cheeses is paired with an in-house program of carefully prepared meats anchored by The Butcherman, where everything is cured and smoked on-site.

Juan has been with The Butcherman for many years, and his skill and command of the smokers and barbecues date back to his days with Thomas Keller at The French Laundry.
At the helm of the Sonoma Cheese Factory, Peter Kelley brings a seasoned hand and a deep connection to the region’s food culture. His knowledge of local producers and restaurant operations is informed by years of experience, including his tenure with Dean & DeLuca in Napa Valley.

The result is a menu that feels both rooted and intentional — simple in presentation, but driven by process and quality. Wine remains central to the identity, with a strong emphasis on Sonoma producers and a natural integration into the overall experience. It is woven into how guests explore and enjoy the food, reinforcing a sense of cohesion and place. Under new ownership by Anidel Hospitality, Sonoma Cheese Factory continues to evolve with intention — refining its offering while preserving the familiarity that has made it a longstanding and beloved Sonoma fixture.
