Opened in July 2025 in the former Bear Republic brewpub, Waterhawk Lake Club brings the Brewsters Beer Garden team to the shore of Roberts Lake in Rohnert Park. Chef Justin Deering's menu suits long tables: soft-shell crab BLT, the Waterhawk burger, flatbreads, loaded fries and Valley Ford Creamery soft serve, with cocktails and local wines.

Waterhawk Lake Club opened in late July 2025 on the edge of Roberts Lake in Rohnert Park, in the building that for years was home to Bear Republic Brewing's brewpub. The new owners are the team behind Brewsters Beer Garden in Petaluma, and co-owner Mike Goebel says the name is a nod to the birds and other wildlife living on, in and around the lake. They refreshed the interior with large communal tables and indoor and outdoor bar seats, and opened a broad patio of group tables and picnic tables facing the water, with fire pits for cooler evenings. Executive chef Justin Deering runs the kitchen, and beverage director Cappy Sorentino leads the bar. Just over a year old and already finding its following, it gives Rohnert Park a relaxed place to eat and drink with the water in sight.

Justin Deering, a Maryland native, runs the kitchen at Waterhawk Lake Club on Roberts Lake, opened in July 2025 by the team behind Petaluma's Brewsters Beer Garden. His casual, shareable menu nods to his East Coast roots with a soft-shell crab BLT, alongside eggplant caponata over baba ganoush, flatbreads and the house Waterhawk Burger.
