Founded by professional race car driver Kevin Buckler — a Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner — Adobe Road brings the discipline of motorsports to Sonoma winemaking. Winemaker Garrett Martin has led the cellar since 2015, sourcing fruit from carefully selected vineyards across Petaluma Gap, Russian River Valley, Dry Creek, and Napa. The portfolio ranges from single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to the bold Racing Series blends named for moments on the track. Over 100 Adobe Road wines have scored 90+ points from Wine Spectator and Robert Parker. Rated Petaluma's best tasting room.

Apex Cabernet Sauvignon — The flagship ultra-premium blend built on Sonoma and Napa Cabernet, aged in 100% French oak.

Pinot Noir, Petaluma Gap / Russian River Valley — An elegant, cool-climate Pinot from the winery's coastal sources.

Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley — A rich, bold Zin from warm Dry Creek hillsides.

Syrah, Dry Creek Valley — A deep, savory estate-sourced Syrah.

Chardonnay, Petaluma Gap — A sleek, vibrant cool-climate Chardonnay.

Founded in 2002 by professional race-car driver Kevin Buckler and his wife Debra (of The Racers Group), Adobe Road crafts small-lot wines from top Sonoma and Napa sites, including the racing-inspired Racing Series. Its riverfront Petaluma tasting room blends winemaking with Buckler's motorsport legacy.

Owners Kevin and Debra Buckler come to wine from an unusual direction — Kevin ran The Racers Group, winning Daytona and Le Mans class titles in sports-car racing — and the winery's Racing Series of red blends carries that lineage directly into the portfolio. Sourcing is deliberately broad: estate and contract fruit from the Petaluma Gap, Russian River, Sonoma Coast, and Napa, crafted in small lots with minimal intervention and native-yeast fermentations. The downtown tasting room, tucked into the historic Great Petaluma Mill on the riverfront, is open every day of the week from 11 to 7 — long hours by Sonoma standards, and notably walk-in-friendly. Three flights are on offer: the Classic introduction, the Racing Series lineup, and a Reserve flight featuring the flagship Cabernets that have drawn more than a hundred 90+ scores over the past decade. A much larger riverfront winery is planned to open on the Petaluma waterfront.

Winemaker

A Sonoma County native who trained through the wine program at Santa Rosa Junior College's Shone Farm while completing his degree at Sonoma State, Martin spent a decade learning the cellar across producers in Sonoma and Napa before joining Adobe Road in 2015 as head winemaker. His approach is grower-relationship-first and site-driven — sourcing from Petaluma Gap, Russian River Valley, Dry Creek, Knights Valley, and Napa for distinct expressions of each block. Under his direction the program has earned more than 100 90+ scores from Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, James Suckling, and Jeb Dunnuck, and the Racing Series blends have become the brand's most recognizable signature. He works in close partnership with owner Kevin Buckler — a Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona winner — applying the discipline of motorsports to every blending decision.

Kevin Buckler founded Adobe Road in 2002 with his wife Debra, bringing a champion racer’s precision to winemaking. A professional sports-car driver and owner of Petaluma’s The Racer’s Group, Buckler has won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and claimed multiple victories at the Rolex 24 at Daytona. He named the winery for the Petaluma road where he first sourced fruit, and built it into an acclaimed boutique producer drawing on Sonoma and Napa vineyards. His motorsports-themed Racing Series blends — and a downtown Petaluma winery and entertainment complex — carry that competitive spirit into the glass.
