Founded in 2017 by the Hanson family and CEO Sarah Citron, great-great-granddaughter of Italian Swiss Colony's pioneering oenologist Pietro Carlo Rossi, Bricoleur is built on legacy and lived-in warmth. The estate farms the volcanic Kick Ranch Vineyard in the Fountaingrove District alongside 20 acres in the Russian River Valley. The cellar is led by winemaker Tom Pierson, promoted in November 2025, working alongside winemaker Bob Cabral, Wine Enthusiast's 2011 Winemaker of the Year and maker of the first 100-point North American Pinot Noir. The estate features a farm-to-table culinary program, rose garden, overnight accommodations, and bocce courts. Wine country as it should be: generous, grounded, and genuinely excellent.

Bricoleur is a chef-driven Windsor estate spanning a cool Russian River Valley home vineyard and the warmer Kick Ranch, one of the biggest vineyards in the young Fountaingrove District (source of its Cabernet, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc), with seasonal food pairings, olive groves and a honey program on the estate.
Bricoleur takes its name from the French term for an inventive handyman, someone who builds something thoughtful from what's at hand, and applies it to wine country hospitality. The estate property includes pond-side tasting pavilions, bocce courts under olive trees, a refurbished historic milk barn, and an extensive rose and vegetable garden that supplies the Rooted pairing, seasonal courses matched with six wines from the kitchen of Executive Chef Todd Knoll, with Charlie Palmer as culinary advisor. Both estate vineyards are organically farmed and Certified California Sustainable, with cover crops, soil building and water conservation at the core of the farming and twelve grape varieties planted between them. The wines (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet) won multiple Golds at the 2024 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Reservations recommended; dog- and kid-friendly.
