DeLoach Vineyards was founded in 1975 by Cecil DeLoach on the Goldridge sandy loam soils of Sebastopol. After years of producing landmark Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the estate was purchased in 2003 by the Boisset family of Burgundy, who converted the farming to certified biodynamic — one of the first in California to do so at this scale. The estate's Green Valley blocks, farmed with biodynamic preparations and horse-drawn plowing, produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of remarkable aromatic purity and finesse. A quiet Green Valley institution.
