Emeritus Vineyards was founded with a singular mission: to produce world-class Pinot Noir from Green Valley of Russian River Valley. The estate farms the Hallberg Ranch — 130 acres of Goldridge sandy loam at elevations of 200–400 feet — where cool temperatures, persistent fog, and well-drained soils produce Pinot Noir of exceptional aromatic complexity and natural acidity. Winemaker David Lattin produces multiple single-block bottlings that showcase the subtle differences between the estate's diverse planting sections. Emeritus is a Pinot Noir specialist in the truest sense — everything else is secondary to the pursuit of this one thing done right.
