Hartford Family Winery was founded in 1994 by Don and Jennifer Hartford with a commitment to single-vineyard wines from the coolest corners of Sonoma County. The winery produces some of Green Valley's most celebrated Pinot Noirs from sites like the Arrendell Vineyard, a benchmark planting on the valley floor, alongside old-vine Zinfandel from Russian River Valley sites that are among the most age-worthy in California. Director of Winemaking Jeff Stewart maintains the house philosophy of site-specific restraint and minimal intervention. The tasting room in Forestville is consistently ranked among Sonoma's best.

The Forestville tasting room pours a seated flight of five wines ($60 per person), and a Customized Tasting ($125) is available daily at 11am with five days' advance notice. A secondary tasting salon at 331 Healdsburg Ave in downtown Healdsburg pours four wines for $30, an easy stop for visitors staying in town.
