Kunde Family Winery has farmed its estate in Kenwood since 1904, making it one of Sonoma Valley's most deeply rooted wine families. The estate covers over 1,850 acres, with vineyards planted from the valley floor up into the Mayacamas hills. The range is broad — Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and a series of single-vineyard bottlings — and the value proposition is consistently strong. The Century Vines Zinfandel, from pre-Prohibition plantings, is the estate's most historically significant wine.

Drummond Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley — A single-vineyard estate Cabernet from the family ranch.

Century Vines Zinfandel, Sonoma Valley — From estate vines well over a hundred years old; deep and spicy.

Estate Syrah, Sonoma Valley — A ripe, peppery red from the hillside estate.

Magnolia Lane Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma Valley — The signature crisp, citrusy estate white.

Wildwood Vineyard Chardonnay, Sonoma Valley — A balanced, single-vineyard estate Chardonnay.

The Kunde family have farmed this stretch of upper Sonoma Valley since 1904 — five generations across 1,850 acres running from valley floor to ridgeline at 1,400 feet elevation. The range of the estate is the defining fact: a single property spanning Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier down low to Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Syrah on the hillsides, all estate-grown and certified sustainable. Experiences range from a casual bar tasting in the 202 Lounge to the seated Kinneybrook Room with cheese pairings, cave tastings carved into volcanic hillside, and the two-hour Mountain Top tour that ends at a tasting deck overlooking the Valley of the Moon. Dog-friendly, walk-in welcome at the bar, and one of the valley's most complete visits.

Zach Long
Director of Winemaking

Zach Long has guided winemaking at Kunde Family Winery since 2011, the fifth-generation, 1,850-acre estate in the heart of Sonoma Valley. A UC Davis–trained winemaker with a viticulture certification from the University of Purpan in Toulouse and harvest experience in Bordeaux, New Zealand, and the Napa Valley, Long describes his style as terroir-driven with minimalist intervention. Under his direction Kunde sharpened its focus on estate-grown, sustainably farmed wines drawn from seven microclimates across more than 700 planted acres — including its prized century-old Zinfandel vines.

Naomi Doherty
Director of Guest Experience

Naomi Doherty leads the visitor experience at Kunde Family Winery as Director of Guest Experience, overseeing hospitality across the five-generation, 1,850-acre Sonoma Valley estate. From seated tastings in the Kinneybrook Room to the cave visits and the signature mountaintop tasting high above the valley floor, she shapes the welcome that has made the family-owned Kenwood estate one of Sonoma Valley's most popular destinations.
