The Sonoma Plaza face of three sister wineries — Pangloss, Repris, and Texture — in a restored 1902 stone showpiece. Wines are made at Repris on Moon Mountain and barrel-aged in natural rock caves. Winemaker Erich Bradley sources Pinot, Chardonnay, Chenin, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc from heritage Sonoma vineyards.

Pangloss Cellars produces small-batch Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Rhône blends from Moon Mountain and Sonoma Valley estate vineyards. The winery's name — a nod to Voltaire's eternal optimist — reflects a philosophy that good farming and honest winemaking will always reveal the best in the land. Small-batch production allows for hands-on attention to each block and vintage. A consistent Moon Mountain small-producer worth discovering.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma County — A hearty, structured Cabernet; one of the lounge's signatures.
Monte Rosso Vineyard Zinfandel — From the historic high-elevation Moon Mountain vineyard; bold, brambly and spicy.
Syrah, Sonoma County — A dark, savory Syrah made in an Old World, minimalist style.
Chardonnay, Sonoma County — A balanced, food-friendly white from heritage Sonoma vineyards.
Named for the eternal optimist in Voltaire's Candide, Pangloss Cellars pours in a restored 1902 lounge on the Sonoma Plaza. Winemaker Erich Bradley crafts small-batch, Old World-styled wines — made at sister winery Repris on Moon Mountain — spanning Pinot Noir, Grenache, Chenin Blanc and Rhône blends alongside the classics.
The home of the Pangloss Cellars tasting lounge sits on the Sonoma Plaza in a carefully-restored 1902 architectural showpiece — 4,000 square feet of historic stonework brought back to life as the public face of three sister wineries: Pangloss, Repris, and Texture. The wines themselves are made at Repris on Moon Mountain and barrel-aged in natural rock caves there; the Plaza lounge is purely the hospitality end. Winemaker Erich Bradley produces small-batch Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Grenache, and Sauvignon Blanc sourced from heritage vineyards across Sonoma, with Repris providing Bordeaux and Rhône varietals from the Moon Mountain estate. Tasting experiences are 90-minute seated flights (reservations at 10am, 12:30pm, 2:15pm, 4:00pm). Small-plate food pairings available as add-ons. Private 90-minute Heritage Tasting $85 per person.

Erich Bradley is the winemaker at Pangloss Cellars, the Sonoma Valley label whose lively tasting lounge sits right on the Sonoma Plaza. Bradley — who also co-owns and makes the wines at Repris on Moon Mountain — crafts Pangloss's portfolio of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and red blends, drawing fruit from across Sonoma County and Anderson Valley. His winemaking pairs ripe, generous Sonoma fruit with a polished, food-friendly sensibility, and the downtown lounge's convivial, social atmosphere has made it one of the more popular stops for visitors tasting in the town of Sonoma.

Jim Momtazee is the founder and proprietor behind Pangloss Cellars. He purchased the historic Moon Mountain Vineyard in 2011 with the intention of stewarding the land across generations, and built The Repris Collection around it — Repris for the estate’s organically farmed volcanic slopes, and Pangloss for thoughtfully sourced wines from across Sonoma Valley. The name salutes Dr. Pangloss, the eternal optimist of Voltaire’s Candide — a spirit reflected in the welcoming downtown Sonoma tasting lounge set inside a lovingly restored 124-year-old stone building on the Plaza. Momtazee’s vision pairs serious estate farming with unpretentious hospitality.
