Sebastiani Vineyards was founded in 1904 by Samuele Sebastiani, an Italian immigrant who built one of Sonoma's most productive and historically significant wine operations. For most of the 20th century, Sebastiani was the largest producer in the valley and a major force in establishing Sonoma wine culture. The winery remains on its original Fourth Street East site in the town of Sonoma, and while ownership has changed hands over the decades, the historic property and its legacy remain central to Sonoma's wine identity.
