The signature is "1,000 Miles of Pinot": single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Pacific Coast's most expressive sites, Oregon's Willamette Valley down to the Sta. Rita Hills. Megan Gunderson leads winemaking for WALT as vice president of winemaking. Trained in biochemistry and molecular genetics, she began at Robert Mondavi in 2001 and went on to St. Supéry and Dominus Estate, where she worked under the mentorship of Christian Moueix. At WALT she shapes the single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Oregon to Santa Barbara.
