Osito is Spanish for little bear, a fitting word in Sonoma, where the Bear Flag Revolt began on the town Plaza in 1846. Casa Osito sits a few minutes from that Plaza, a private, poolside home under a canopy of heritage oaks with a relaxed, indoor-outdoor layout. It works as an easy family base, flexible enough for grandparents, small children and a group of friends in the same week. The Plaza, laid out by General Mariano Vallejo in 1835 and still the largest in California, is the place for morning coffee, shops and tasting rooms, with The Girl & The Fig for dinner.
